Getting Started

So, the video above pretty much sums it all up.  The first step should be wanting to become healthy.  It's not about just about needing it, but you have to want it.  I knew I needed to lose weight at 300 lb, 350 lb, and definitely at 400 lb, but until I truly wanted to make a difference in my life, it didn't matter if I needed it or not!!!

You can't want to lose weight to impress girls, or to get a boyfriend, to get noticed, or to get promotions.  Those things are ridiculous reasons to lose weight.  Because more often than not, you won't obtain them based on pounds shed.  And when you fail, it will set you back and you will find your reason to lose weight now worthless.  It has to be for YOU!!!!  I've learned that, no matter how much weight I lose, I'm not going to have women beating at my door!  Ha, so, to have my hopes set on that would be worthless.  But seeing a healthier me, more active and fit Jeremy helps to push me to achieve goals and set newer, higher goals that I never knew I could achieve!!!

Let me be honest, to all the overweight, low self-esteem people out there.  Let me preface this by saying I am one of you, have been for years!  I have battled self-esteem my whole life due to weight and looks.  It is not your weight that holds you back, it is not your looks, it is the attitude of yourself.  Not always how the world views you, but how do you view yourself?  Get some confidence, it works wonders!  It will pour out in all aspects of your life, a lesson I'm learning for the first time in my life.

With all that said, be motivated by the right reasons.  Make sure your reasons are sufficient, that they will sustain you throughout the entirety of your weight loss journey, and get out there and get started!
